Meet the Pleat
Are you interested in the market’s most reliable, maintenance friendly and cost-efficient seawater cooling system for your vessel? Please meet the Pleat.
Introduced in 2011, the patented Pleat is still the favoured seawater cooler for hundreds of shipowners worldwide. As the Pleat cooler comes in a variety of sizes, it offers effective solutions for central cooling, auxiliary, and various combinations of engine cooling.
The patented Pleat is a module-based titanium cooler for seawater to freshwater, with design pressure 6 bars and design temperature of 0-95°C.
But why the Pleat cooler, you may ask? Let us help you answer that question:
Long service intervals: the modern design of the Pleat ensures a reliable product which significantly reduces the need to maintain the system.
Safe and easy dismantling and assembly: maintenance of the Pleat involves dismantling, high-pressure cleaning, and assembly of a few robust elements that are easy to get watertight again. To see how easy the Pleat units are assembled and dismantled, check out this film.
Quick maintenance and cleaning: Compared to a traditional heat exchanger, one Pleat cooling element is equal to approximately 15 plates. Whereas cleaning a traditional plate heat exchanger can take a significant amount of time to complete, cleaning of the Pleat can easily be done buy one person within one hour.
Low spare parts consumption: as the service intervals are far and few between, and it is so easy and quick to maintain the Pleat, spare parts requirements are a fraction of what you need for plate heat exchangers
QUICKEST RETURN ON INVESTMENT: The combination of all of the above allows shipowners and operators to save time and money, providing you with the market’s quickest return on investment when you include all costs, including product cost, installation, maintenance and spare parts.
